McGillum and Stott are an Engineering company who are providing services to the shipbuilding industry. An armoured security van arrives at the factory. Inside the van is nearly thirty thousand pounds, the wages for the past weeks labour for the three thousand employees. ( Check the wage rates for skilled, unskilled, office and management staff)

After the lorry has departed, the gang cut through the chain link fence just after the security guard has checked the periniter. as they won’t have time to complete the cutting before the decurity man makes his second round. The gang must think of something. ( Possible perhaps they try another way.)

  • Sneak past the guard or distract him in some way.
  • Get the guard away from the premisis by holding his family hostage.
  • Cosh the guard then tie him up hoping he will be found.
  • Bundle him in a car and drop him on the moors somewhere in the Highlands.
  • Kidnap the boss of the firm and get the safe keys. This will save hiring a safe cracker.

Has the guard got a dog or a truncheon? Another question that needs to be answered.

Also the getaway. The money needs to be loaded onto the train without detection.

The money needs to be taken from the robbery on the River Forth to Edinburgh Waverley Station.I have assumed a car but a van or lorry may be a better alternative. Supplies for the buffet car perhaps. A Scammel “Mechanical Horse” perhaps.
